Is curiosity dead? Is wanting to know what happened really that crazy? Is expecting journalist to do their job really insane? I'm not an Obama hater nor am I a gun lover. I am however a person who values the truth.
There is a difference between curiosity and nosiness. Curiosity would be willing to wait a reasonable time for an investigative report to be released.
When you own a media outlet, then you get to decide whether or not the journalist is doing a good job, and if not you can fire them. Otherwise, the only way to try to hold journalists accountable is to contact them via internet, or phone, or letter and ask some questions. Contact their editor and complain. Complain to the company directly.
You are including the OP in "people posting on this thread," aren't you? "Polite" insults are still insults.
I haven't insulted anyone - unless you count yourselves or others here among those who accept everything spoon fed to them by others as the whole truth.
There's a big difference between SKEPTICISM and PARANOIA by the way.
For what it's worth, when I've had people bring up the idea that there was some sort of vast conspiracy about this event, I've disagreed with them.
What I DO think is a possibility - and which I've clearly stated on this thread - is that our media and our government are not above skewering accounts of events, even to the point of exploiting children, to further whatever agenda happens to suit their fancy at the time. And when I say that, I am including both liberals and conservatives.
That's why I will continue to probe and research and ask questions that obviously make some people very uncomfortable.
I've asked this before and I will ask it again: do you believe that there wasn't an outpouring of outrage from the public following this incident?
And, based on this outrage, what should the response be from "government?"

Can you imagine the outrage if President Obama had said nothing about the tragedy? Or very little?

It will be surprising if you get a direct answer to those questions from the OP. I hope I'm wrong. I would like to see the answer.
