What I think is funny is that the neo-cons are already trying to throw around the term "lame duck" in relation to President Obama, when he was just sworn in. That's really a reach from the true usage of the term.
average americans don't agree with the GOP on most issues. Most feel the rich should pay a larger share because they have the most to lose. Homeless people arent afraid of invasions or default or debt ceilings. They don't care about defense, because they are homeless. It doesnt get worse then that. Most people think guns shouldnt be handed out like lollipops.
On the flipside, handouts need to stop. People shouldnt live off the govt, the amount of waste is rediculous and welfare for some is a choice as opposed to a job.
This country needs a 3rd party because the nutjobs from both sides have hijacked the parties
While you probably thinking of welfare when you typed "handouts" corporations and the rich get more handouts. We allow oil companies to drill on public lands at low rates, low taxes and them the royally compensate their execs.
Obama doesn't have a mandate at all." His" healthcare agenda( It was Hillary's) had to go through the courts and was snuck around the Constitution. His continued war in Iraq and Afghanistan hasn't won him any support from his base although they are quick to forgive. The economy hasn't done well at all. The stock market has done alright but thats with continued bailouts and market manipulation and giveaways to the banks. Scandals plague him and he's had to shut odwn investigations and cover up a mess of bad deals, stupid errors and shady top advisors. Now he's pushing an even more unpopular agenda on guns that has weak support from many democrats.
Who said he has 51% support? How many votes did he really get, closer to 45%. Voter fraud in key swing staets and in the national total. Electronic balloting has mainstreamed that although its been going on since 2000.
The guys a stooge whos just a puppet of the real power brokers. The asterisk president, never vetted and only kept in power by lies and fraud.
No mandate.

Romney got rolled over like a Mack Truck over a banana peel. The Karl Rove "fewer votes" argument is something invented to make conservatives feel good.
Obama has a mandate. Live with it.
Apparently the voters weren't charmed enough to give BO control of the House and a veto-proof majority in the Senate. Didn't we get BO care the last time we let that happen?
