I don't care what anyone claims if laws are passed by our elected government signed into law by our elected President, and deemed constitutional by the courts, then threatening violence to those who enforce the law is against the constitution and the law and makes one a criminal and a traitor.

The fact that anyone would send out such a ridiculous threat before any legislation has been written let alone passed and signed into law only adds to the level of insanity.

I hope gun nuts whether this letter is real or fictional keep up this nonsense and show the rest of America their insanity.

All it takes is one or two states to start it with bold defiant action (like the Utah Sheriff's association) and others will follow. I stand behind the Utah Sheriff' and my constitutional right to bear arms.

Utah Sheriffs Prepared To 'Trade Our Lives'- Refusing Any Federal Gun Confiscations | Alternative

Sheriffs are elected officials, by the people.
Police on the otherhand, are the hired guns of the local government. They are unionized so when a new Mayor & city council gets into office, there is little they can do to curtail the army of power that has been created.

When it is time for a new Police Chief, chances are your going to get that guy that was a bully in school.
Since our new police chief came into position, police shootings are up 90% and it has been brushed under the rug.
They get paid leave and are back out patrolling in no time.
Our Black communities are shrinking, and the illegal aliens keep coming.

You couldn't be more wrong. It's just sad that people think it's that easy to circumvent the constitution.

America is becoming more ignorant by the minute.

But this sheriff is direct evidence of how the right-wing has lost its mind. This sheriff says he is defending the Constitution while ironically claiming it's up to him to interpret the Constitution's "traditional intent." The Constitution gives no citizen the right to ignore laws.

.
The letter was written on behalf of the Utah Sheriff's Association. That means ALL county elected Sheriffs in Utah are in agreement to 'Trade Their Lives' in order to defend the original intent of the 2nd Amendment and prevent any type of gun confiscation by the federal government. And the 2nd Amendment is easy to interpret.

Then why do we already confiscate?

The one I think a lot of the local C-D crazies use, begins with 'Storm' and ends with 'Front'.

Default No big deal

This "Utah Sheriff's Assoc." sound like a bunch of spoiled little boys throwing a temper tantrum for no good reason. They can be, like most RWNJ's, safely ignored.
