If this person wanted food cooked a certain way why not just cook it & prepare it at home.

Or go to middle Eastern restaurant.

Why couldn't McDonald's tell them this? Because they wanted their money.

The issue is with fraudulent advertising, which you seem to support

As usual, stick up for Muslims but slam away at Christianity.

I always wondered why Christians don't seem to follow any dietary laws, there are many from the old testament that some minor Christian sects follow, but most Christians don't bother.

Anyway, I admire Muslims and Jews who take their kosher and halal laws seriously. McDonalds in communities with large Muslim populations should take these laws just as seriously, since it's good for business.

That's what a local business owner gets for trying to accommodate a band of idiots in Dearborn. If they want McDonalds, then they should accept that McDonalds is McDonalds. If they want Halal meet prep, then they should go somewhere else. The business owner should have never even attempted to adapt. I blame both parties.

Any successful business owner knows that the number goal in business is to make profitis.

Money from Muslims is just as good as money from non Muslims. Green is green.

I thought you claimed to be a successful businessman??

businesses adapt to meet the needs of their customers. If this particular McDonalds has a lot of Muslim customers, then they should learn how to do Halal properly. Free market, supply and demand, etc etc, right?

If I had a McDonald's in Texas I'd call them "freedom fries" if I could, even though I think it's stupid.

Some people don't understand the concept of supply, probably 9 - 5 ers.

The Dearborn community has the largest population of muslims in the USA, so it seems reasonable that McD's would cater for their business. The McD's in that area were selling the normal food after they ran out of the food that conforms to Islam dietary law.
