No I found your attempt at being 'personal' amusing.

I honestly couldn't careless what a woman does with her body one way or the other. It's not my place to say nor do I have the right to say it.

At least I can live with myself knowing I'm not a puppet who has no thoughts of their own.

Why are you so concerned with abortion? How does it benefit you? Why do you care so much?

So glad you support non-public funding of abortions, and anti-abortion folks working legally towards making lots of abortion-free states.

We aren't talking about a woman's body. We are discussing destroying a human life.

Why are you concerned about murder? You are, aren't you? How does being concerned about murder benefit you? Why do you care so much?

Quite frankly, I have never heard a religious argument for being pro-life.

Have you?
You must have Janelle on ignore.

My Mom was born in 1930, not till the mid 70's was spousal rape made illegal and there were no programs or shelters available for her. I called the police on my step dad in 1972, he was choking my Mom to death, the police arrived and saw her busted lip, bloody nose, bruises on her throat, she was black and blue all over. My younger brother and I both screamed for help out the windows and not a single neighbor came to help us. When I stopped my step dad from killing my mom by threatening to hit him with a 2 x 4 from the garage, he turned his violence on me. When he slugged me in the back, I took that momentum and ran out the front door and went to my neighbors to call the police. If I had not of done that, he probably would have succeeded in killing her. Of course there are programs now, but they did not exist back in the 50's and 60's. The police said my mom was fine becauee she had no broken bones, just was black and blue and bloody.

Excuse me? Intolerant of what? You're kidding me, right? I don't force you to get abortions, do I?

Look who's talking. You're the one trying to get me to stop me from having an abortion. I will get an abortion if I need one - guaranteed. I find absolutely nothing wrong with abortions, they serve an excellent purpose, and I'm not into your religious delusions about some cells being Peter Pan, Santa Claus, or Carl Brutanandilewski.

Are you really telling me that abortion has nothing to do with a woman's body? Really?

Cute changing the words of my own post to fit your own twisted agenda.

Go back and read what I said. Here I'll even quote it for you:

Also, dude - you might want to try and be original and not use someone else's technique. You're just as much a puppet as jannelle is. It's really pathetic.

Today, Janelle, not in the 50's and 60's, the police sided with the husband as they always did wiht my step dad. They looked at it as his right to enforce his rules, even my Moms friends would tell her that she needed to obey her husband and maybe she would not get beat. Imagine how powerless women were to stop spousal abuse back then.

And maybe I live in an apartment and have no place to plant or care for an apple tree.

I do support public funding of abortions. It's an excellent use of money. It helps reduce the burden on the State. It helps women solve their problems and move forward to a better future.

Of course, that's not the only way we can reduce the burden. We can also stop giving the mega-rich the nice, cushy ride we're giving them, but that's for another thread.
