It's not like we've had anything like that happen before in this country. You know, like 911, or Katrina...

Is everything a conspiracy to you? I'm surprised you haven't headed to your bunker in the mountains with your survivalist buddies so the black helecopters can't get you. Good grief.

Uhhh...did you forget about event commonly referred to as 9/11 and Hurricane Katrina?

Yeah, I have a problem with FEMA too, but think that it is prudent to upgrade hospital and mortuary facilities in order to handle mass casulties.

You seem to think a conspiracy is under foot.

Would you care to explain what that might entail?

The New Madrid fault quake today would kill tens to hundreds of thousands. This move is prudent.

What they didn't have a plan up until now to prepare for massive casualty events? After 9/11 that should have been immediately put into place.

To answer your question, yes there were plans. The legislation will just formalize it and move it from "should" to "shall".

I'm a member of a MD advisory board on emergency planning and every so often we have a "count the body bags" meeting.

Apparently the government is planning a kinder, gentler, more culturally sensitive genocide where the bodies of the indiscriminately murdered are handled with respect instead of dumped into mass graves.
