I will - if you agree to not twist my words around.
I didn't twist your words around
Families aren't picking up the slack now...so why the **** should we expect the families of all the women who are now having abortions to pick up the slack?
That makes no sense.
And if you have a magic wand why the hell don't you wave it in such away that it'd just prevent unwanted pregnancies in the first damn place?

First of all, we weren't discussing abortion.
This current train of the discussion began when you asked:

I said that the government should not be involved in such family affairs and that the extended families should "pick up the slack".
Second - what is this magic wand business? I don't own a magic wand and never said that i did.
I appreciate your vivid imagination, but save it for more constructive work.
Back to the topic at hand - Americans each committing on average 3 felonies per day. This thread is now in its second page, and I have yet to see anyone offer proof of (or even the slightest bit of evidence supporting) this absurd claim.

The point is that there are so many laws and that they are loosely interpreted such as that it is likely that you committed three felonies today and don't know it.

I can assure you I committed no felonies today, and I can assure you I haven't even come close to committing some 13,600 felonies (3 per day) in the 12+ years since I turned 18.
I would prefer a system where abortion clinics are not allowed to operate and where doctors who perform abortions lose their license to practice.
I would also support abortion to be classified as a malpractice tort that could be litigated in civil courts with the claimant being the state.
Me, responding to your post 51

It appears that you were discussing abortion.

Sure. Lot's of things should happen. But they don't work out that way in reality. We shouldn't need any laws at all...everyone should treat everyone decently.
As for the magic wand, you want to change our current laws to the system your proposed. This is something that could actually happen (highly unlikely, or desirable, but laws can be changed). Much harder (possibly needing a magic wand) would be to have people suddenly become responsible for themselves and their families.
And my point is that's absurd. It's about the most ridiculous thing I've ever heard. You made the claim - support it.
Unless you know each of one of those felonies you can't make that claim. I'm sure the woman thought being sent to prison for lobsters was absurd but there you go. Instead of defending and trusting the system, take a look.

Each one of what felonies? And what is this lobster crap you keep talking about? What does the fact that some women was apparently convicted and put away for a felony involving lobsters have to do with the OP's claim that the average American commits 3 felons every single day?
My grandfather must be a criminal genius. Apparently he's been able to get away with about 100,000 felonies in his life.
Unless you know each of one of those felonies you can't make that claim.
Who can't make what claim?
The claim was made that the average American commits 3 felonies a day.
That's a claim. Where's the evidence to support that claim?
Until I get some evidence, I claim that is total bull****.
That said, yes, our government is out of control and our laws are absolutely ridiculous.
