My guess would be just the reverse, I don't think the MSM wants to touch the issue of gay males in sports w/ a 10 foot pole, no pun intended. They make a ton of money from sports coverage, and they must know that they are highly vulnerable to charges of hypocrisy. After all here is an entire industry with an unspoken, unwritten rule that if you are gay you'd better stay in the closet. Yet they get their taxpayer subsidies, these millionaire players and billionaire owners, and politicians love to be seen as big fans like any other joe sixpack, often making bets with fellow politicians from rival cities & states.

What if it were discovered that a fortune 500 company, say Texaco for example, had never had a out gay male in a top executive position. We know what would happen--there would be headline stories, editorials, op-eds, cartoons, etc. The CEO would have to go on the Sunday shows and grovel. There would be boycotts and threats of boycotts.

Since you're so happy to go OT, if only the rightwingnuts gave a rat's ass about cleaning up their own filthy house before whining about those of others

I'm so sick of this country and its racial crap. That writer, in my opinion, can go f himself for perpetuating this crap. Race baiting is not responsible journalism.

Edit: It all makes sense now, the writer is Jason Reid, and this isn't his first attempt to stir the racial pot.
Glad to see that there are some unbiased people on here, and level-headed ones as well.
