Like the third world countries of Washington and Florida? New Hampshire is a third world country?
Nevada is an EXTREMELY popular place to start a business. I've started two here. Not having to worry about the cost, both in terms of dollars and time, of a state income tax is a very welcome relief for me, both as a business owner and as a citizen.
I really don't get what the problem is, here. If Kansas can afford it, and if the people want it, then what's the problem? It's not like this concept has been proven to fail. In fact, the opposite could be argued. Look at Texas. Look at Washington.
What's with you guys?!

It's Kansas, that state is a lost cause at this point. I say let the teabaggers and religious nutnobs have their authoritarian theocratic paradise. Most of the sensible people have already fled the state and nobody in their right mind would move there.
Witness liberal doublespeak here. A group wants the state to not take money from citizens, and this person terms that "authoritarian."
Maybe some of you liberals ought to try reading the constitution sometime.
The Tea Party values smaller and constitutional government, less spending, lower taxes, and accountability.
Only people who dismiss the constitution and probally would like to use it as toilet paper(liberals) would be opposed to the Kansas plan.
The American Taliban Party says one thing and does another. Any entity that incessantly talks about the constitution and shows overtly excessive signs of patriotism is usually up to something nefarious like that office worker who's always in the boss's nuts, and boy have the American Taliban been on a tear of nefariousness lately.

Demanding the criminally corrupt federal government actually adhere to the Constitution has nothing to do with religious nutjobs.

But less spending and smaller government absolutely makes no reasonable sense, especially if your state is growing in population. Bridges and highways need maintained more than ever due to added wear. Public buildings, such as schools, need repaired, if not rebuilt for modern times. Prisons and keeping them staffed always need money from a growing population. Various state employees may be due for pay raises and on it goes. If you, or tea partiers, don't like my answer, then go advocate for selling off government piece by piece to the highest private bidders. That would be a way to get rid of your problem.

Uhhh - I have never heard of an "American Taliban Party".
Do you live in an alternative universe or perhaps Afghanistan?
