God, this is getting beyond annoying and old. Go with Statitory Ape and start using fascism as the preferred insult. Better yet, come up with something new, or how about just the blunt truth. "I hate Obama/Democrats/liberals" would do, and it would be much more sincere.
Communism is a dirty word in America, yet many of the principles being advocated by more and more Americans are communist at core. You can call it progressive, liberal, leftist, whatever but whatever you call it the principles are the same. More and more people are jumping on the bandwagon of supporting the sacrifice of individual rights for the collective good. It's happening slowly but surely in America unlike the swift Bolshiviek revolution in Russia. The question is, if this ideology has failed in every other nation it's been tried in, why should it work in America? How are we different than Russia, China, Cuba, North Korea, etc? What will America do differently than those other nations once the far left gets their way to avoid a similar fate?
more people need to be aware of the dangers of trying to make everyone equal. We are not all equal, the rich does not owe anything to those less fortunate and we need to realize 1-charity starts at home and 2-we need to depend more on private sources than on the government to help those in need.
If Reagan didn't do anything else, he did 2 things: he brought back pride in our country and convinced the world, a free country was better than communism. Not only do we need to depend on the private sector, we have to stop government intrusion into our lives by trying to dictate how we should live. I am glad I do not live in NYC for starters...
Communism has never existed and the US couldn't be further from Communist.
you are right, it does not exist in our country, but anyone that doesn't see the trends changing needs to re-think this...If we keep our heads in the sand, it will be too late to safe us from government take over of our lives. .

No country has been Communist. I doubt the US will be the first.

From a liberal, progressive Canadian, "Go suck on some eggs". It would be a much more productive use of your time than the crap you posted here.

1) Although I don't know the above posters, I am confident they never got out from America and lived in another corner of the world. This line of thinking is unique to Americans and cannot be found anywhere. Once I spoke with a very religious Christian who told me that Iraq lost in 2003 because they did not embrace Jesus!
2) Communism was never implemented by slowly (and gradually) adopting its principles until one day people wake up and say: "hey, we became communists overnight!". Communist regimes were always the result of bloody and violent revolts and takeovers. With the exception of Sarah Palin and Glenn Beck types, nobody ever witnessed a "gradual sinking" into communism. It exists only in these folks hallucinations.
3) The communist ideology did not fail, since it was never purely implemented. What we call communism has to do more with dictatorship.
4) Where so called "communism" failed, it did so for a variety reasons: dictatorship, corruption, disproportional investment in military and police (they are always on alert of revolts) antagonism, social polarization and inside hostility (besides a long list of restrictions on citizens). All that contributed to their downfall. It had to do with restrictions on media, people telling on their neighbors and friends to authorities, shortages on almost everything. One example is Romania, a major producer of oil that exported all its oil and natural gas while leaving its citizens freezing in the bitter cold of winter. Even today, North Koreans suffer terrible shortages while their regime develops atomic weapons and missiles. Although hard to believe, anti communist sentiment in communist countries, has nothing to do with bearing arms and possession of weapons by the citizens.
