The original M-16 patent ran out years ago, and now the AR-15 is manufactured by several gunmakers. Unlike the military version, the AR-15 is a semiautomatic, firing one bullet per squeeze of the trigger. But like the M-16, ammunition is loaded through a magazine. In the school shooting, police say Lanza's rifle used numerous 30-round magazines. An AR-15 is usually capable of firing a rate of 45 rounds per minute in semiautomatic mode."

More crockery....

Why use numerous 30-round magazines to kill 26 people....... I don't think the Ct Cops have it figured out yet..

Meanwhile we ban guns for no better than a knee jerk reaction.... We can't fix this in 50 years and now we can on 3 weeks? BS..

If these laws happen to pass those who do pass them should be arrested for treason.... every last one. The the there will be challenges to the laws and in time nothing new or better will have happened.

You grabbers will regret your knee jerking sooner than later.... The fact you beg for more LAW..... All quite un-enforcable.
Sadly, multiple 30 round magazines were used. Why? The perpetrator was nuts.

The kids were shot to pieces. It's a vile, heartbreaking image.

But then again, what valid, legal reason would any need to possess a 30 round magazine. Regardless of what their interpretation of the law, their rights or incorrect definition of tyranny is...

I can tell you a valid, legal reason anyone would need to possess a 30 round magazines, but you wouldn't like the legal valid reason.

I know if this ban should pass in any meaningful way which i highly doubt, I will be after cars and cell phones getting banned... Both of these kill more people combined than guns do. But so long as we are going to blame objects we may as well make it cars and cell phones next. I should include surgical tools too since 1 million + are killed each year with these objects.

I am sure I can raise plenty of stink in Concord.

I'd love to hear your legal valid reason. Or perhaps you feel it wouldn't survive public scrutiny? More Red Dawn fantasies??

And actual your comparison is false. No one is trying to ban all firearms or magazines. They are talking about common sense gun safety legislation. We didn't outlaw cell phones-- But MOST states have outlawed using them while driving (without a handsfree device). It's still legal to text-- but not while operating a subway train.

It's legal to drive a car, but certain features (or lack of them) that make the car more deadly are not legal...

Get it? It's actually EXACTLY the same. We don't outlaw guns-- But we make them more safe.

Does it really matter if the public is deliberately lied to over and over by various government entities without them being held accountable?

Does it matter that the truth is suppressed by a corrupt lap dog news media that knowingly runs a false story hoping to help government suppress the people's liberties?

Explain to me what the difference would have been between multiple 30 round mags vs multiple 10 round mags?

Your statement shows your lack of actual knowledge on the subject. The proposals are anything but common sense. Have you read the the verbage and understand the implications?
