Car dependent means you need your car. Like when you live in a very urban areas and those places that us city people can walk to or take the bus you have to take your car cause they're so far away
Am I car dependent? Today to see a dermatologist for a treatment of near cancer I had to drive 288 miles both ways. Nobody, any closer than that has the necessary equipment for that treatment. I guess I am very car dependent.
Undocumented worker means just that, a worker who has not been documented. It's referring to the fact that their employers haven't done the proper paperwork. If you've ever worked "under the table" than you were an undocumented worker. And if somebody from Mexico was here illegally but had a job where their employer had done the paperwork so that he was paying payroll taxes etc than he wouldn't be an undocumented worker. "Illegal alien" and "undocumented worker" are not interchangeable.
Why not. They are the same thing. All those undocumented workers are illegal aliens.
How can one understand the logic of mindless ideology? The reason public education is failing is because it's built on the foundation of progressivism. If you look through history you'll see that modern progressivism was spawned by the American Communist Party of the 30's.
The one constant is failure. Progressives may take over the US, disarm the citizens, and meter out social justice... but, in the end, it'll still be the same failure that every socialist/communist society has been.
We are about to lose 200 years of evolutionary freedom to the weight of our own want and ignorance.
In George Orwell's book 1984 the world adopted a new language called "new speak" in which words and phrases had altered meanings in order to affect public opinion. It is undeniable that some of this phenomena has crept into our present day language, so let's see some of your favorite examples.
Here's one... Car dependent.
A vehicle which gives nearly unrestained freedom being desribed as a restriction.
I always view car dependent as living in an area that doesn't allow for walking, biking, or public transit. Saying someone is car dependent doesn't have anything to do with restriction.
I would love to live in a community where my wife and I could get by with one car. Look at all the houses built in the 40's and 50's. One car garages. In the Twin Cities we had an extensive street car system, something that we are spending billions upon billions on now to rebuild. It was Ford and GM who conspired with lawmakers to tear up the old system so people would be forced to buy more cars. The oil companies were in on it too.
More proof that the relationship between government and business (lobbying) should be severely restricted.
Hate Speech: Any discussion or speech contrary to what's politically correct. Asking "inappropriate questions can be considered hate speech as well ie; "Why did the news media show only the portion of the video where Rodney king was on the ground and struck by the police and not the whole 90 seconds of video?" or "Why doesn't our government crack down harder on illegal aliens?"
Assault Weapon: 1.) Any firearm that's black in color and designed to carry and fire more than one round. 2.) Any firearm the politically correct left deems to be an assault weapon.
Child Abuse: Disciplining a child involving any physical contact whatsoever, or when the disciplining party raises their voice above normal speaking range.
Homophobe: Anyone who is not in total agreement with and thus supports unwaveringly the homosexual lifestyle.
Woman's Right to Choose: Abortion in whatever stage it may occur.
War on Women: Not showing support for a woman's right to choose whether it involves taxpayer funding or not.
