The one thing that everyone should agree on, is that both sides are hypocrits. The one thing, which nobody can deny, is that both political parties have the same goals. They hide behind differing agendas to justify the same end game.
Calling the most repressive of ideologies "Progressive" is a great example of New Speak.
In George Orwell's book 1984 the world adopted a new language called "new speak" in which words and phrases had altered meanings in order to affect public opinion. It is undeniable that some of this phenomena has crept into our present day language, so let's see some of your favorite examples.
Here's one... Car dependent.
A vehicle which gives nearly unrestained freedom being desribed as a restriction.
Car dependent means you need your car. Like when you live in a very urban areas and those places that us city people can walk to or take the bus you have to take your car cause they're so far away
From the left: undocumented worker
From the right: job creators
Undocumented worker means just that, a worker who has not been documented. It's referring to the fact that their employers haven't done the proper paperwork. If you've ever worked "under the table" than you were an undocumented worker. And if somebody from Mexico was here illegally but had a job where their employer had done the paperwork so that he was paying payroll taxes etc than he wouldn't be an undocumented worker. "Illegal alien" and "undocumented worker" are not interchangeable.
Newspeak wasn't created to alter opinion, it was done to limit language and thought to a handful of selected concepts and emotions to ensure people in Oceania wouldn't get it in their mind there was any option for society beyond Ingsoc. I highly doubt you've ever read 1984, or anything more demanding than Highlights for Children.
So it was not intended to alter opinion.. it was intented to alter thought....

How can one understand the logic of mindless ideology? The reason public education is failing is because it's built on the foundation of progressivism. If you look through history you'll see that modern progressivism was spawned by the American Communist Party of the 30's.
The one constant is failure. Progressives may take over the US, disarm the citizens, and meter out social justice... but, in the end, it'll still be the same failure that every socialist/communist society has been.
