Reporter On Obama’s ‘Amateurish’ Press Corps: ‘When They’re Near Him, They Lose Their Minds’ | Mediaite

You can watch the clip at the link if you want to get sick and uneasy.

Quote:
Rolling Stone reporter Michael Hastings, author of the BuzzFeed special book on the 2012 campaign Panic 2012, joined Martin Bashir on Thursday where he revealed that journalists who covered President Barack Obama during the campaign were sometimes so overcome by his presence that they would “lose their minds” and behave in “juvenile” and “amateurish” ways. Among other anecdotes, Hastings admitted that he once had the opportunity to ask the president hard questions, but was so similarly moved by his presence that he only asked “soft” questions.
We're in trouble folks. We a large portion of our press, fawn over a politician so much, especially to the degree in which we've seen over the past 4 years, its not good. Not good for our future. If we can not count on our press to do their jobs and be a watch dog for the American people, no matter who is in office, that is a large step towards the opposite of America.

I know you liberals fawn over Obama as well, but if you truly believe that its okay and fine for our press/media to engage in this, instead of actually doing their jobs and perform the public service of looking out for us, then you are absolutely sick. That is anti-American.

More and more, I fear for our future. Hollywood, largely liberal and supports and promotes Obama and his views. The news media, the same way, so much so they practically embarrass themselves over Obama. School and colleges, largely liberal, indoctrinate the young minds of mush. There are still watch dogs out there, but mostly they are made up of bloggers and such. And they often get treated like crap by the media.

If this sort of thing doesnt worry you, you might as well say you're anti-American. This isnt America. It isnt American to constantly kiss the backside of your POTUS and others on one side. To look at them and treat them as celebrity rock stars. To do their bidding. That is NOT America.

Jake Tapper and Major Garrett are the only ones in the WH press corp who keep Obama honest somewhat.

Fox guys don't get much of a chance to ask Obama questions but when they do they hold him honest. The vast majority of the media is a sad joke.

Obama shoots rays out of his eyes to hypnotize the press corp--it was part of the secret communist/socialist/terrorist Kenyan training he received when he wasn't really going to college. I know this to be true because I read it on the Daily Caller.

Don't recall anyone becoming giddy when they were in the presence of "W" Bush.

You think this is okay for our press to act like this? They are not supposed to look at our President or politicians as a rock star. They are supposed to do their jobs! Which means hold him accountable for WE THE PEOPLE
