Remember that statement when you are replaced with a robot or someone they decide needs your job more.

They do have a right to refuse. That isn't the problem here. Technology is going to go forward. I'm assuming you are not in dial up internet.

It was wrong for the police to arrest these women. They were gave two valid options in the electric companies desire to upgrade. They choose neither. That should have been the end of the story. Cut their service and move on.

So, Roy. You going to take these women in when they're sitting in the cold and dark and they can't get FOX?
Your electric bill was higher by $100 a month and you didn't know until a new meter was installed? Why?

I've been self employed since I was about 30. Funny you mentioned that because there was aspects of my job in my first business even as the owner that was fairly labor intensive and I certainly considered ways I could automate those tasks.

Electricity is not a constitutional right! If you don't want a smart meter, or worry about privacy, or the Gobbermint controlling your power usage, then go off the grid with solar, wind, or a diesel generator and battieries and be free of all your fears.

I find the concerns about privacy as they relate to smart meters so odd. I have a smart meter. The greatest benefit for me is that I no longer have to have people freely entering my yard or otherwise near my home.
Great for me, great for my dogs.

glad I dont have that easement on my property.

Obama's home state and his good buds neighborhood, you find yourself in jail and of course ask the other guy why he is in the can.

" drew a picture of a gun and aftet SWAT arrived at my home, killed my dog, they took me into custody".

How about you?

"I tampered with my smart meter".

"The guy in the other cell was stopped for eating in his car and they found he was wanted in NYC for drinking a 32 oz Mountain Dew".

"Don't worry, if you agree to support Obama's gun legislation, the judge will just give you probation". However, the guy that drew the gun is toast, that is a felony offense. It goes far beyond the crime of just pointing your finger to imitate a gun"

I'm not suggesting leaving anyone without electricity, it would be their choice.. The meters belong to the electric company. If they wish to remove their property, they can. They will gladly replace it with the modern technology, but if you don't want a new one, they would be on the homeowner...
Pretty simple, really...........
