But it's voluntary! It says so in the oath they're to be forced to take ... yeeeah. Which just goes to show the inadequacy of the education of some posters in this thread, even aside from the above-mentioned Crusade.
It is in no way compulsory, as long as you volunteer.

And any legal residents who are not citizens of the US. Several of my classmates were legal residents due to their parents' employment, but went back to France, the UK, Canada, Brazil and South Africa after high school. They still need a diploma in order to matriculate into the colleges and universities of their choice, but they wouldn't swear an oath on the US Constitution.

Missed the part about atheists in my post, huh? It's not the Constitution we atheists object to, it's the "so help me God" part, which, of course, is unconstitutional. Making us atheists better citizens than the AZ idiots who proposed this legislation.
