SHOCKING!

Wealth in capitol cities is certainly unprecedented!

After all, Paris, Berlin, Rome, London, Madrid, Tokyo, etc. are all poor little country towns, eh?

Agree. And also the largest metro area of the state as well. In my state, Harrisburg is not the largest city but it does have affluence in Camp Hill and Mechanicsburg. People with state government connections usually live here. Other than that, the Philly Main Line, which are the western suburbs in Delaware County, has the highest concentration of affluence in PA

I live in Arlington actually right outside DC. While the federal govt makes up a chunk of the affluence, there are private companies here that are bringing jobs, especially out in the tech corridor in Western Fairfax County.
I knew that DC was doing very well for awhile now but when I posted something on CD the Dems tried to put my head on a stick.

I have friends in the area and they are doing very, very well. A friend of mine, a tax attorney was offered excellent pay and all expenses paid to move California to DC 2 years ago. They said it was an offer they could not refuse.

Yep, DC is living high on the hog (mansions, Lamborghini, luxury items), all paid for by the money they take out of our paychecks and borrowed money that we will also pay for. They produce nothing, spend money like there is no tomorrow all paid for by siphoning money from us to redistribute to the government. And Obama said he is going to raise taxes again.

Remember how they are living it up. You drink box wine while they are drinking fine wine. Think about what it must be like to be living so high when you pay your taxes and wonder how in the world your going to be able to pay your mortgage, get out of debt, afford to send your kid to school.

This post screams hyperbole and ignorance. How do YOU know everyone in DC is living off taxpayer money? Really now, people that don't live in the region shouldn't make such asinine statements
