Outlaw mandatory occupational licensing, eliminate minimum wage. Already a non-starter right there.

Republicans ran against what non-tax payers see as free money.

Democrats didn't even mention six trillion in new debt and no one asked.

They won't until the next generation's money runs out.

Then what will you do?

Here's a hint. When that day comes, we'll all be conservatives.

If this doesn't change I think that more center right and moderate republicans in the future (like myself) are going to start migrating towards blue dog democrats......the GOP as it is now is practically unelectable on the executive level...and it's awfully f**king sad.

It is very sad, downright stupid, and solidifies their path towards being 21st century Whigs.

Except it will not come unless the EU becomes the better nations to seek out. They will not just stuff their fortunes under mattresses, they will continuous lend, lend, lend, as that is what makes their wealth create more wealth.

EU debt/GDP is rising at sharper rates than ours.

Kangeroo courts like China are not truusted by those who wish to not have their wealth taken over by government fiat. Only Free Market economies need apply.

Yep. The current crop of "leaders" driving the clown car will not make the needed changes so the party's base will keep shrinking and they'll keep losing national elections. It is only after those deniers who are blocking real reform in the party have been completely discredited that they will finally be replaced with someone who actually has new ideas. The Republican Party is stale, they haven't had a new idea in 30+ years, their old ideas have failed over and over, voters have repeatedly soundly rejected their old ideas, but the current crop of Republicans refuse to change anything in any meaningful way. They, as a party, need their time in the wilderness before they'll collectively be able to get over their denial and start the process which will actually end up making them able to win elections again.

Until then they're done on the national stage in their current form and they're going to retreat ever deeper into gerrymandered districts, trying to change electoral laws so that even if they lose the vote they win the election, and other anti-Democracy moves. Ultimately, this will only hurt their party's reputation even more but it seems their denial of reality will not stop until it becomes absolutely clear they can't continue on with an ever shrinking share of the vote. That's when they'll change their policies and bring them back towards the center where the majority of the voters actually are.

Adios. See ya. Don't let the door hit you in the rear end on the way out.

Anyone who would even consider going from the GOP to the Democrats was never a conservative to begin with. Not even a moderate conservative. See, the solution to the party going too far to the right is never, ever to go over the Democrats who are way off to the left. The Tea Party is too conservative for you so you're going to support Obama instead? If Obama is your idea of what a moderate Republican should be, then you were never a Republican to begin with. Sorry but that's not even within miles of being believable. See, believable people who complain that the GOP has become too conservative say they will leave the GOP. Period. They end it there. When you take that extra step and say you're going to vote Democrat, your credibility goes bye-bye.
waaaaa!!!

You've got moderates leaving the party in droves--either because they're law makers being primaried out in elections, or because they're voters who think the radical end of the base has gone off the deep end. What's unbelievable is doing and saying the same thing over and over--then losing--and explaining it away by saying that the defectors were never republicans to begin with. Then you somehow expect things to be different in the next election. That was how Einstein defined insanity, and he was right. How fitting.

Only to those that feathered their nests. America has become a country where drug dealers make less than minimum wage, irony.

2017 will change their course, as a new Democratic POTUS, Dem house, plus Dem 60 seat Senate replaces ACA with single payer, while the GOP minority leaders serve coffee and danish to them.

The failure to take the Senate in 2012 when the GOP was only defending 6 unsafe seats to 21 for the Dems set the stage for 2017.
