The Girl Who Got Away

Most people whose lives have not been touched by human trafficking have a hard time saying what it is exactly. Simply put: Human trafficking is modern-day slavery.

I read this today. Awful. Peope do need to be aware of what's going on in their life and who they invite into it.

What's your point? I know that sounds rude, but I mean that question sincerely. Are you just trying to raise awareness of the issue? Yes, crime exists, including human trafficking. What is it that you're trying to say about it?

How about informing people. Is something wrong with that?

These creeps invite themselves into their lives. Buddy up to them and promise them things. That girl was only saved because she had friends who know their MO and clued her in.

Watch the video vigilante. Most these women are beyond help. We have them here too. They are not 'emotionally developed' enough to actually live a full life outside drugs and prostitution.

Legalize it and be done with it and focus on ill and disabled people, people who actually want and can be helped.

Oddly enough, the illegal status of prostitution is what makes it such a lucrative trade. For some reason, those who like to legislate morality fail to look at the supply/demand economic effects of the legislation.

Put simply, illegal status = fewer people involved in the activity = lower supply = higher demand = astonishing profits for criminals.

Make prostitution legal, tax it like any other service industry job, and cut the common criminals out of the mix. Of course, the criminals in Washington would still be making great profits, but at least if the industry were regulated and open you'd see fewer incidents like the one in the OP.

No, human trafficking is one of the nastier sides of prostitution.

In most cases yes...... most girls have a pimp and drugs are used as a form of coercion. Many of the "massage" parlors in big and small cities consist of underage girls from abroad who are forced into that lifestyle to service degenerate loser men who lack self control. Very few girls choose the lifestyle of prostitution. It is often, at best, the last resort for someone to sell themselves to someone

There are many logical reasons why it should never be legalized and never will be here
