We all should be afforded the SAME rights as individuals.

Not guaranteed special rights based upon groups.

We all are entitled to the SAME rights regardless of gender, race, national origin, religion, age, marital status, sexual preference NOT we are guaranteed certain right based upon gender, race, national origin, religion, age, marital status, sexual preference.

This has gone on for generations and it is not working.
We have more envy, division, strife and social ills than ever before.
By creating groups government picks winners & losers playing us all off against one another.

We need to go back to judging each individual by the content of their character. (imho)
Go back to? We've never done that.

Someone didn't read the article......

If you had you might have gotten to the part where it looks to be a penalty against some of the more senior refs for comments etc. revolving around the ref labor issue earlier this season.

It would appear the league is doing what it is doing for many reasons and are basically fudging with the usual selection criteria.

Which would still make it the "what we hate about black people thread"

first off, refs get dinged and undinged all the time, Thats nothing new, the OP and the article written about it suggest it was done because of race, which is hilarious considering that later on, it simply says he wasnt vocal about the labor dispute.

Seems more likely that he either did a good job and got a review on the calls, or that he fell in line over labor, rather than it being about affirmative action.

At least it's not Jeff Triplette, he's the one who stuck a player in the eye and darn near blinded him.

Look at it this way....when something funny happens like 8 head coaching vacancies occur and they are filled by 8 whites we hear accusations of racism. So, when something *odd* occurs in the ref selection it's somewhat quid-pro-quo to hear complaints about race being a factor in the selection.

Basically, what I'm hearing from some posters is that race should only be discussed when it worked against a black candidate and not when it appears to have worked in their favor.....because if it worked in their favor it was due to other factors and when it worked against them....it was other factors....it had to have been racism.

I agree that we have OP's that push agendas around here so I concede your post is reasonably defensive.

Yeah, that'd be good, but don't kid yourself into thinking things have ever been that way.
