Most people don't want to ban guns, many want to regulate them.

Guns are not banned for 18, 19, and 20 year olds, alcohol is.

Give this some thought. It makes a lot of sense.

They tried that. It created what you see now with the war on drugs.
Black market and a lot of guns. It is the reason the unconstitutional banning of full auto machine guns.

What is one more law, to a person that wishes to commit a violent crime? Be it murder, robbery, or just a random drive-by?

We need to start looking at the family unit in America, to see the downgrade of kids, raising kids... alone.
The criminal element breeds in that environment, with little parent time to keep their kids in line and respectful of others.

Dang straight! damn good post BentBow;

There is a lot that needs to be taken into account besides banning and more gun laws or regulations, that won't work.

Exactly as you stated, the family unit, which in so many cases is falling literally apart, kids having kids, fatherless children, drug addicted teens having babies.

Parents that literally don't give a damn about the children they have. And those children and then teens have to fend for themselves.

And what about the mental stability of so many of those who kill. The mental aspect has got to be considred as much as those pulling the damn trigger.

Trigger does not pull itself u know. So much more to this issue, is more complex then some are making it.
