Interesting, you are saying that the USA is a third world country who cannot afford to pay their wait staff a decent wage.
Here in Australia there is no tipping and our staff are on between $22-$25hr.
That's right. Waiters at many chain restaurants make $2.50-$3.50 per hour. They aren't covered by minimum wage laws.
...and the Pastor, aka "Woman of God" complained to the restaurant owner after her note and zero tip was made public and got the waitress fired from her job. So not only did she zing her on the tip, she nailed her on her entire income!

Score one for GOD! JAAAYSUS is surely proud!
Once again, spewing inaccurate information to push an agenda. She GAVE the waiter a tip. The person that was NOT her waiter publicly shamed her (falsely, as it turns out), which apparently was against the restaurant's policy of NOT giving out customer's PERSONAL information.
For that, the waitress was fired. It was her own danged fault.
I would have complained too. It's called libel, and a very serious offense. Lesson learned, I'm thinking.

She only GAVE the waiter a tip because RESTAURANT POLICY FORCED HER TO. She clearly would didn't like having to give her ANY tip and wanted to give her ZERO.
It is not LIBEL when it's WHAT YOU ACTUALLY WROTE ON THE CHECK. If you had the guts to WRITE it and hand it to her, you should have the guts to ANSWER TO IT.
Only a conservative would defend a Christian pastor desiring to stiff a below-minimum wage worker who depends heavily on tips to make ends meet - AFTER they already consumed the meal/services and KNEW what the large group policy was from the start. Your reaction is expected.

totally wrong
1. she gave MORE than the policy required....so endeth this thread....
No server is entitled to a tip for DOING THEIR JOB. Tips are OPTIONAL.
Please, never dine out. Ever. You don't seem to have the slightest understanding of how the restaurant industry works.
Many of these hosts and servers make 3-9 dollars an hour, a wage adjusted to accommodate an average income figure which include tips and/or performance commissions.
You want to be a prick and walk into a restaurant, accept their service and fresh-cooked food without tipping your server, then fine, but you are no better than a no-good thief who walks out of a supermarket without paying for their groceries.
