I enjoy an occasional beer - or two - or three.

To maintain a stock of brew, I frequent a local liquor store which is owned by a family who appear to be Arab in origin(or at the very least Middle Eastern).

Every time I walk in lately, the television in the corner is displaying a man wearing a robe and a turban who is jabberring in Arabic.

For all I know he could be some radical imam espousing on the "virtues" of al Qaeda.

Anyway, I have no doubt that the operators of this store subscribe in some way to the tenents of Islam.

Now, don't get me wrong. I admire Islam as a religion that recognizes that there is only one God, and if they call him Allah, so be it. I wish the followers of Islam would recognize Jesus Christ as more than just a prophet(and would argue that the status of their eternal soul depends on such recognition) but acknowledge that they at least accept that he existed, which is something that many atheists don't do.

I own a copy of the Qur'an with both English and Arabic translations and it is my objective to be able to read the book in Arabic before I turn 40 and President Obama leaves the White House - in 4 years.

I respect Muslims who understand that jihad is more about submitting oneself to Allah, not seeking the destruction of "infidels".

That said, are obvious Muslims who own a liquor store being hypocrites by profiting off the sale of a product, the use of which the Qur'an prohibits?

Also, am I breaking the law by supporting a business that may potentially fund a terrorist organization?

Your last question is racist.
The first rule of the drug business is "to not get high on your own supply".
And I'm willing to wager that at least some atheists think Jesus existed.

Michelle Pfeiffer said that in Scarface(1983).

I said many atheists - not all.

The only reason you suspect that your money might be supporting terrorism is because you're assuming that terrorism and Islamism (and those who fit the Islamist racial profile) are inherently linked.

Non Muslims can be terrorists. Muslims can be non terrorists.

What a terrorist is, is anyone who uses fear as a method to gain political influence. What does that have to do, inherently, with a couple "Muslims who look like they could be from the Middle East"?

It's racist in the sense that it assumes a condemnable relationship between one group and another group of people by virtue of possibly holding a similar origin.

Call it what you want...racist, groupist, regionist...whatever...it's all the same.

Could have sworn you left out "many" in the "atheists don't believe in Jesus's existence" statement, but I'm tired...so idk...

I don't know what that guy in a long robe and a turban is saying - but my own admission, I will in 5 years.

Why is it unreasonable to wonder if I am am violating current Americsn law - which is enforced by the Obama Administration?

If he's wearing a Turban, he is more likely a Sikh - not a Muslim, so your question would be not only moot but a tad offensive & ignorant. And AFAIK, there are no strict laws against alcohol in the Sikh faith. Oh yeah, and they're usually (at least the ones now here) from India or Pakistan.

P.S. Pretty much EVERY turban-wearing liquor store clerk/owner I've ever encountered sounded & appeared to be Indian-Sikh. Can you tell the difference between an Indian and a Persian/Iraqi/etc? Coming from LA, I would be surprised if you couldn't!
