Right up Obama's alley, putting one ethnic group over another.

Sonia Sotomayor has matured considerably over the years.

This article touches upon her evolution from an anti-American pro-independence radical into a "pragmatist" who has come to terms with reality.
Justice Sotomayor’s Position on Statehood | Puerto Rico Report
Quote:
Since then, however, Justice Sotomayor’s views have changed, in part because of the influence of her early mentor, Judge Jose Cabranes, who is also Puerto Rican. The two met while Justice Sotomayor was attending Yale law school. While she began her undergraduate education as a strong proponent for Puerto Rican independence, Judge Cabranes impacted her views about being an American and Puerto Rican, and further thought led to her adopt what has been called “a more flexible stance” on Puerto Rico’s status.
In 2012 Sotomayor formally endorsed statehood ... no anti-American Marxist radical would dare speak in support of statehood.

It has been obvious that Sotomayer is an ethnocentric racist for some time now. Yeah, right up Obama's alley of pandering to Hispanics.

Justice Clarence Thomas described something similar in his own development.

Some newsreader asked him why he changed from an angry, fist-waving radical Black Panther in his teenage years, into a conservative law-abider later on.

He replied, "I grew up."

Word.

Did the OP state that?

Sotomayor is only concerned with hispanics, nobody else.

Good for her.

There is not one aspect of racism in her involvement as Puerto Ricans can very well be "white." In fact, the majority of island identifies as such. So for the "whites" upset by this, embrace your people.
