I don't get it, why all the rhetoric? The answer is simple:

Many people have recent African "Black" in their families; even some anglo white people. 1 drop rule be damned: it DOESN'T make them "Black" in 2013.
Don't you know that the only white people entitled to call themselves whites are those who have unadulterated white bloodlines going back to the beginning of time. Pretty much what Hitler thought is the definition used BOTH by white supremacists, and "non-white" folks who have a bizarre vested interest in trying to classify as many people as possible as "not white" cause it's "Black and Brown against the Town baby, yeah!"
To be black, however, all you need is a great great great grandmother who was black and you're in!
Same with being a "Latino" of course.... one great abuelo who was born in some Latin American country and BAM - you're a "person of color!"
1. The U.S. population is about 310 million.
2. The U.S. Hispanic population is about 50 million. The vast majority of these are not illegal immigrants.
3. There are about 11-12 million undocumented immigrants in the U.S. From my understanding, at least 10-15 percent are not from Mexico or Central America. So there are about 10 million Hispanic illegal immigrant children.
4. There are 4.5 million children of illegal immigrants. If we assume (incorrectly) that they also are adamant about their culture and language, and pretend that they're all from Mexico and Central America, that makes about 14.5 million total.
5. Most illegal immigrants have lived in the U.S. for a while now. The increase between 2000 and 2010 of illegal immigrants was about 3 million.
6. There are some significant signs that the rate of illegal immigration is decreasing. Birthrates in Mexico have rapidly fallen, and it's become less economically beneficial to come to the U.S. lately.
7. A lot of Asians are immigrating to the U.S. as well. IIRC, the growth rate of Asians has become faster than that of Hispanics recently.
8. So, based on this, Hispanic illegal immigrants reaching 50% of the population isn't going to happen.
Since Obama announced his big push for amnesty the flow has increased at our southern border. If we grant amnesty this time around in another 20 years another one will be pushed and probably for 30 plus million next time. The Hispanic population will increase vastly due to all of the above. Do the math guy.
Mexican birthrates have fallen in Mexico and probably due to many of their poor and uneducated babymakers coming here illegally and producing them on our soil instead.
I'm white and for most of my life I've lived in a city where I've been a racial minority. Hispanics make up 59.7% of the population. We don't all live in squalor and the vast majority of people speak English. //www.city-data.com/city/Corpus-Christi-Texas.html
Those are the slums. You can also find some very nice places in Brazil. You can also find some very nice places in countries like Costa Rica, Chile, and Uruguay.
That's in Appalachia. Alot of people forget that you can find squalor right in America, and not just in the inner cities. You can find this stuff out in the rural areas, from Pine Ridge Reservation in South Dakota, to the hills in Kentucky and West Virginia. You can find in some of the border towns in Texas, and in the small towns of western Mississippi. It can be found all over.
