You don't have to go to China. They import it here.
Melamine replacing guten causing mass pet deaths from kidney failure..remember that one ?
Yes, the US allowed industrial waste to replace a food thickener due to lack of testing imports.
It wasn't until the dogs started dropping dead that the FDA reacted back in 2007.

What if it were humans dropping dead from this instead ?

The USDA is about to allow them to import "organic chicken" for sale in our supermarkets.
Organic Chicken from China. Is than an oxymoron or what ?

We're not as "safe" as you think. Be vigilant in your shopping.

You do realize there is a difference betwix pollution and global warming cultists right? You think it is the same animal. It isn't. I never hear anyone who thinks global warming is nuts all in for allowing pollution. EVER. You try and put them in the same box. Then you tout your global warming and claim others are ignorant of science. Global warming is nothing but pushing junk science. Squeal on.........

Tsunami and superstorms are not going to stop? I thought cutting all the evil co2 out would stop them. Fact is tsunami's and storms are part of life living on earth like you say. If you live in a hurricane zone you will probably experience a hurricane. You live in tornado valley you will hear sirens go off every summer because tornadoes form. Buying up a bunch of carbon credits from Al Gore won't do anything. May make you feel like your doing something but your not.

And no it isn't a good idea to pump pollutants into the sky and water because we need those to breath and drink....just ask China how it is going with their Orange Fog, bet the Chinese wish they had an EPA.
Pollution has nothing to do with EPA. It is a process. China is going thought the industrial revolution and of course they have pollution.

US moved pass the industrial revolution and moving into the information age, but unfortunately, our government is still push the same industrial age regulation. HOWEVER, government itself got the idea and moving into the information age, it is just their policies they pushed out are 50 years behind.

Your post only serves to demonstrate that adding another layer of bureaucracy, and further "progress" toward the Left-leaners' ultimate goal of a Global Managerial State is your answer to every societal problem.

It won't work; the majority of us still have to devote or time to producing something that people actually will trade some of the fruits of their own effort (if any's left after Big Brother's cut) to use of their own free will.

You cannot continue to add policemen devoted to your own hang-ups; Prohibition, the drug wars, and the uniform 21-year drinking age have all proven that force eventually becomes increasingly costly and decreasingly effective.

So it seems likely that we are about to learn another similarly-expensive lesson with regard to gun control -- courtesy of the over-sensitized and the New Puritanism. What's particularly galling is that some of the supposed "conservatives" have their own costly ideas via the fantasies of a legion of armed guards. Two mature male teachers in each school, with basic self-defense knowledge, ought to be enough to deter most lone nuts, and to dilute the "henhouse culture" that leaves our primary schools so vulnerable.

Indulge your fantasies if you must, but not with another slice of my limited income.

Agreed! But I remain only partially convinced about how much of this is actual change from historical fact -- how much is the effect of "non-global" activity (i. e: runoff from construction and other developments) -- and how much is hype, with the help of selective presentation of "supporting" data.

And every political hack from here to Chicago knows that the fastest way out of a life of power and privelege is to ignore the most short-sighted and simplistic in his own district, regardless of the impact on the rest of us.

My idea of saving the planet is to stop polluting it. That is very logical to me because humans do enormous harm to our planet. I think it's people without sense who would argue that. Not sure why you mention Al Gore since I can't stand him.
