It's all over the news. I'm sure it's all we'll see the rest of today.

Thank God.

Good.

Something for the next kidnapper who wants to murder a bus driver, to keep in mind.

I don't see a link and I remember all the threads you started about Pres. Obama assuredly losing to Mitt Romney.

Your credibility meter is stuck on zero.

I don't care about all the obvious personal drama going on between members on this thread and frankly, if you don't have something edifying to add to the topic at hand, your comments are distracting and useless.

Yes, the little boy has been rescued and the kidnapper is dead - and here's your link:

Official: Hostage standoff ends with child safe, kidnapper dead - CNN.com

This is the best news I've heard in a long time. My heart has ached for that little boy and his family. Sounds like the response team and emergency personnel on site did a great job. I have really admired how close to the chest they've played this entire delicate situation. Looking forward to more details now that the child is safe.

I love this exchange... I can totally imagine what it sounded like.

"I head a big boom and then ... I believe I heard rifle shots," said Bryon Martin, who owns a home near the bunker where the boy had been held since Tuesday.
It was a loud noise that "made me jump off the ground," he said.

Maybe a concussion grenade? At any rate they entered the bunker when the old guy started wigging out even more.

Apparently, negotiations were not going well so they decided to storm the bunker and get it over with.

Great job by the law.
