Left wing attempt? Yea...right.
I don't care who does it. It is not sound economic practice.

I was most definitely around when Nixon implemented wage/price controls. Didn't really understand it at the time (I was a kid). Sounded good to stupid little me - "make it against the law to raise prices!" Of course goods disappear.

We are talking about Argentina the poster I responded to claims Argentia is a neoliberal free market. That's not the case. You like to change the topic don't you?

Btw I think American farmers are too heavily subsidized to the detriment of the global economy and our fiscal health.

Yeah I read about that. More important to get your money than feed one's family.

The store had a special for $2.99. The state said ..no, milk has to be sold for 6% over cost.

Who knew we had the "milk police" out there to protect corporate interests ?

Relax, hoffdano. When liberal fanatics get caught with their pants down, they always change the subject to George W. Bush, or Nixon, or whatever the Republican flavor of the week is.

So what's the point of this thread and why didn't you post it in an Argentina forum. Sounds like it belongs there.

It's slow and I probably will, I just don't see the point of this thread to begin with so I was trying to figure out the point...my guess it is just another thin excuse to blame liberals for something pointless and random.
