How many schools in Mexico, or the middle east are allowing their kids to show allegiance to their nation in a Foreign Language?

Since the school didn't mandate this, and it was student led, then I don't see a problem.

Similarly, there should be no problem when students wish to pray at commencement.

Everyone should learn foriegn languages - and Arabic is particularly useful to know, since it is spoken by people with whom we are currently at war (al-Qaida).

It's called American exceptionalism. Ever heard of it?

They don't have the 1st amendment of the Constitution.

How many middle Eastern nations are letting their wives walk out of the house unattended ??? see the problem with what you just said?

This is America, where you have the freedom of speech and religion.

If ten kids from one school in the country say the pledge in Arabic one time will that bring our country down?

If so, we are a very weak country.

And I know we are not weak.

...maybe some of our citizens are, though.....the ones who are afraid of ten kids in one school....

Arabic is also useful to know when reading the Qur'an. I own a good English translation, with the Arabic alongside.

My objective is to be able to read it in both English and Arabic.

"Under Allah" should not be in the Pledge of Allegiance.

Neither should "under god".
