There was a time that this country took mail theft seriously. Now with it occuring even by Postal employees, it is apparently so out of hand, the Postal inspectors do not bother even to follow-up on the complaints.
The deterioration of the postal service is leading to its own demise. The courier services are more reliable.
It's a bad sign for our country.
There are some great people working for the post office...but there are also living disasters.
That's the unions destroying our country...you can't fire bad employees.
During my working life I've belonged to several unions....The first was the usual mob run union taking money from us when we were high schoolers working part time ( that's how skeevy the mob really is).
And the only thing I can say about the other unions were they were most suitable for people that did not want to work..only rip off the system.
And the post office as well as other government agencies reflect this.
With the economy collapsing, the pensioners of these unions better start budgeting themselves a little better. Changes will come...contracts or no contracts.
As a matter of fact, I understand it may already start being felt with this new health law...This may turn out to be a very good economic move by Obama.
And in the meantime, mail service will start being run by competitive businesses.
