I am from Florida. My governor is Rick Scott.

The previous governor, Charlie Christ was a rather decent Republican (now Democrat) governor. I do not agree with several things that he stands for, but that's okay.

Compared to Charlie Christ, and the previous governor Jeb Bush, Rick Scott is much, much worse.

Rick Scott's early life is actually pretty respectable if you read about it, since he went to the Navy and then later became a lawyer. After he was a lawyer he went to business.

Which is where the respect stops.

You see, Rick Scott founded a health care company that was eventually responsible for 14 felonies. Paid a fine of 600 million.

After this he became involved in a few more health care companies. Made plenty of money.

And then he ran for governor.
And then he got elected.

....Rick Scott is considered by some, the worst governor in the nation. His approval rating is 31%. That's worse than Obama, considering that most counties in Florida are republican-dominant. It's even worse than that contested governor in Wisconsin.

Here are some of the bad decisions he made in this state.

-Cut education by 1.3 billion. Later added back the money after realising that was VERY unpopular.
-Cut early voting hours. Led to huge lines this past election.
-Forced welfare benefits to drug test on their own dime and promised to reimburse if passed, only 2% failed, cost the state hundreds of thousands of dollars.
-Rejected money from the federal government that was supposed to build a rail line in Florida. Some of you may disagree with this project, but this was a lot of Florida jobs that didn't happen.

So how the HELL did this guy get elected? Even Florida's own Republicans hate this governor.

Looks like his reign in Florida has been an utter catastrophe.

I don't understand the sheer nastiness of some of the comments of that article....

It's how everyone gets elected. The electorate liked the winner better than the loser.

If people only knew who Rick Scott was (a crook that scammed the government for his own profit)
he would be COMPLETELY unelectable.

...But this was back at the height of the Tea Party, who Rick Scott supported. For some reason they completely overlooked his history and fell for his campaign scam.

Yeh I'm surprised the Tea Party fell for that. That is completely against their beliefs.

The thing about the Tea Party is that they were so gullible that they did not see the fact that many simply used them for their name.

It doesn't seem to make any difference in D.C. or Chicago.

Or as I said, they were voting against the other guy.

Looks like the RINO hunters are determined to mount Scott's head on a wall:

"Waves white flag"

"Bows down to Obamacare"

"Flip-flop Rick"
