What Americans are witnessing today is the culmination of four years of ultra-right wing propaganda inciting fear of change and hatred for other Americans; all Americans.
It is very evident when reading some posts in this forum.
obama has done nothing but cause racial unrest.
Hes created a new class of people just so he could demonize and attack them (the "rich")
hes the biggest racist in politics, EVER...
Not really. The right wing began all this fear mongering, and whites feel threatened by it.
If you happen to read any part of the story in my link, it outlines in summary why the right wing feels threatened, and how their propaganda instills fear among people.

Only the right uses propaganda to incite fear ?
Yes. Remember the Iraq war? It was called at the time "fear mongering".
And now with a president of a different color, the right wing is pitting Americans against Americans.
So they don`t like us in Islamabad.I wonder why? Sorry, polly but we`re not seeing global condemnation for the U.S. and anyone who thinks we can take out Al Qaeda leadership without collateral damage isn`t dealing with reality.
How would you go about it?

Actually we are... seeing not only global condemnation, but I hope domestic as well.
It would be a very long post, but to put it short
Common sense and a good understanding of past history

Obama's skin color has notihng to do with anything. He is a Marxist/socialist tyrannical dictator, thumbing his nose at the Constitution, promoting class envey, denigrating rural Americans as less than intelligent (bitter clingers), demonizing those who succeed as greedy and selfish.
He promotes collectivist claptrap ("You didn't build that!") that denies individual achievement, and champions instead a Utopian view of a society where individualism does not exist.
Karl Marx would be proud.
This isn't the first time in the World that such dangerous ideas have risen to power.
