Quite frankly I am tired of all of the undeclared wars and actions since 1945 under both administrations that has cost the taxpayers billions if not trillions of dollars not to mentioned the lives of young men and women. (I am not a hawk or dove but an owl). Both sides have their propaganda machines and I am past tired of the slant, one way or another and the cheap shots back and forth. Can we please put away our sarcasm and ridicule and start acting like adults?

You won't find a RW media source or pundit calling out their own sheep or followers.
But what they [democratic underground} prints is about the truth. The threads circulating the forum of late are calls for civil wars, prepping for doomsday from the liberals, gripping guns so when the government comes to take them away you prepare for war, flying your American flags upside down, desecration of the American flag because a black man was elected to a second term, and much more.
It's the truth and it hurts righties so bad, they laugh at the thread originator and link posted.
What Americans are witnessing today is the culmination of four years of ultra-right wing propaganda inciting fear of change and hatred for other Americans; all Americans.

The thread title has alot of validity to it. I've always had issues with the left but recently I started to distance myself more and more from the right as well. The welfare issue is a perfect example for this. The argument comes to People abusing the system vs. People who really need help (IE: people with disabilities who really can't work). Now we have created stigmas against people who are on government programs and we blindly assume they are abusing taxpayer dollars. Serves the people who abuse the system right doesn't it? But now people who need help are lumped in to the fire. With the exception of a few, most conservatives want to end welfare and safety nets completely because people are "lazy leeches" upon society. But it goes to far because the next question is what happens to a society when someone really needs help? and it goes on from there....
