How cons do it? right wing media says something against democrats, they start with a rumor, and their sheep follow it to blogs and forums, and pretty soon, they've got everyone believing what they say is gospel. WMD's in Iraq is a perfect example. Who remembers the past administration sock puppets talking about mushroom clouds? People ate that garbage up, people swallowed it hook, line and sinker.
Most people who are smarter than neo cons can see that this is the only way they can try to start winning elections, it's failed attempt after failed attempt to lie their way back to running the country.

The level of hatred among conservatives, for what seems like all Americans, can reasonably be attributed to Republican politicians, right-wing media, and more than anything, a long-festering fear of change in a rapidly-changing America. It is true the election of Barack Obama in 2008 brought out racial animus endemic to white supremacists and bigots in the population, but it does not explain increased expressions of hate elicited from religious fanatics toward gays and women, suspicion and open hostility towards Hispanics, denying food and healthcare to people in need, and increasing calls for civil war.
I'm not at all surprised that you would think that. We have entered a new era in America.
Why should America be changed? Our system of self government is the most perfect ever devised. Change to what? Despotism? It seems that's what you want.

And what makes this not the same for liberals? Your logic that says no right wing outlet will be honest about the right wing also says that no left wing outlet will be either. Maybe hatred is the wrong word. How about popularity?? That's how the polls survey - on the US popularity globally. And we aren't doing very well. US popularity in 3 categories has dropped between 2009 and 2012 - especially regarding US international policies. Drones may keep Americans safe in the short term, but will have a negative global impact in the long term.
