Seems like they were the same rifraf that does all this "occupy" crap. No one spat upon me when I came home from overseas. Good thing, I was a rather angry young man back in those days.
Anecdote =/= data.
Good solid proof is so much better than vague memories.

After you get a contemporaneous account, you'll want a police report, or lie detector test, or something else, but what the heck, here are just 2 of the many out there ---

Default Observation to noone particular

As I read this topic thread the predictable becomes obvious. Everything divides, yet again, to polar politicized opposites of opinion and hyperbole and the reality of the topic is trampled upon and over.

On a reflective and for some here an introspective note and a comment tangential to this topic matter, those to the left may want to read this article:
FrontPage Magazine - An Open Letter to the "Anti-War" Demonstrators...

It can be a testament to youthful idealism allowing emotion-fueled motivations to override all considerations of reason. Decisions made solely upon self-gratifying and self-imposed emotional duress are most times incorrect. Emotion begets a narrow focus of perspective and blinds one to all rational discourse.

Don't have any specific proof? Figures.

To be more accurate you may wish to consider amending this comment to read...

I say this, because anything involving Dame Pelosi must be viewed in this contemporary light of a failed system, because the Legislative Branch of government, corrupted as it is, has completely failed to execute it's constitutional powers to impose accountability and restraint upon the Executive Branch as per the Checks and Balances built into our Constitution.

Number 1, I spent 2 tours in Nam and know from personal stories from friends. There are many, many stories from vets saying THEY were spit on.

Are you calling everyone of them a liar?

Number 2. Prove it DIDN'T happen.

There many posters who say it never happened. They didn't see EVERY vet when the returned, so how do they know.

It is kinda like saying lynchings of blacks never happened because I didn't see it.
