Yes they did set the fire themselves, and they murdered law enforcement officers. Could the ATF handled it better, sure. But in the end that nut and his followers chose the outcome of this.
Yes, the BATF murdered those people, and yes the government (FBI after they replaced the BATF clowns) started a fire that burned those people out. They fired hundreds of flammable gas grenades into a wood building. Could the Davidians have handled it better? Sure. But the nuts at BATF started this fiasco...and were never tried for murder. Any more than the FBI sniper that murdered Randy Weaver's wife as she is holding her baby...or the officer that shot his 14 year old son in the back.
Proud men and women of the Davidians defended themselves against an armed assault and lost their lives doing so. Hope the government is proud of murdering children and women when they set fire to the building.
