Do you know the meaning of discriminatory? Apparently not, because its definition (which fits the Boy Scouts) isn't dependent on it being a public organization. I think you're confusing illegal discrimination with good 'ol fashioned plain discrimination.

its sad when groups are forced into disgusting acts by forces outside of their own group.
Who's being forced into disgusting acts? I don't recall hearing anything about that! Please elaborate...

2.They don't need a reason ITS THEIR GROUP! Like I said. The homosexuals should make their own group for non christian homosexual folks...sure they would get a lot of support.
Sure, they can do whatever they want... but we can also call them bigots if we want. Fair is fair, right? And you can bet, if I ever have a son he is NOT joining this hate group. Uh-uh.

So you're okay with them stretching the rules for your kid, but not for a kid who happens to be gay? Or a boy who prefers the Girl Scouts? Being a Christian is a choice, being gay is not - so it seems if they should make allowances for anything, it should be the intrinsic quality. No?

Guess your respect for this organization's rules are kind flexible and self-serving. Big surprise.

The OP and a few others on this thread also come to mind... LOL.

Eh I was a cub scout, until my parents didn't want to take the time any more.

...Top be honest I learned nothing about hate, though we definitely held christian prayer at many events. I felt uncomfortable during the time when they asked me to make a prayer, even as a kid I did not appreciate organized religion. So I just left out references to any superior beings and I guess it passed.

That's the main reason my brother never joined... we are Jewish (reform), but as you said here, they lead you in CHRISTIAN prayer. So they can't even claim it's a non-denominational religious group, when it's really just a Christian group. To go along with the suggestion of "gay scouts," maybe the original should be honest and change their name to "Straight Christian Scouts?" No confusion or deceit there!

A man's sexuality is his own private business. Who are you to say what the OP's is?

Except my friend was in another troop, and his troop did no such thing. So it's not a religious organization unless they choose to revolve around religion. The cub scout handbook has more to do with practical skills than it does with religion. I had fun in the cub scouts going camping and learning various skills and having various contests and such. Religion in my troop was but a small thing.

And my friend's troop had none of that church bull and he also learned a bunch of interesting skills and disciplines. So I guess it's up to the individual troop on what they do with their boys.

Overall it was a fun experience.

Okay, I'll try to refute it...

Why do the most "anti-gay" people always use the most homo-erotic metaphors?
