This just started 1/1/2013. I would imagine they are still looking for doctors since it's only been about 6 weeks into the new program.
From numerous new stories. All have said that PP treated 45%-50% of the women in the program.

Here's a story from Dallas.

Wow ... the disgusting mind of an idiot.
So you admit that all the pro choice people who say that abortion is only about the woman's body are idiots then? I mean if rebelyell is an idiot for saying it is murder because that's only his opinion, then the same reasoning must apply to people who have the opposite opinion, no?

Tell ya what..follow this item.
I have a feeling when the pools open for enrollment 10/1 that there will be the same type of errors only with insurance companies and degrees of coverage.

What government program opens with no flaws or mistakes ?
Even the deferred deportation program had problems when people lined up for forms that weren't printed yet.

Eventually the problems will get fixed. And hopefully a woman doesn't just call one place on that list.
Don't you think that maybe they should have had a plan to cover these patients BEFORE they excluded the provider for 50% of the women in the program?

They presented all to a judge who agreed with them.

But they presented false information. They said that they had enough providers, but many are not accepting new patients, many are listed 2 or 3 times, some are emergency rooms, some don't even do women's health care. They lied to get the judge agree.

Women
that's 50,000 women for the entire state of Texas which has a population of 26 million people.
As of that article the state had recruited 3000 new providers.

Give it time to get off the ground and working. This is not like ER situations.
These are recurring preventative services here, not life threatening triage.

It doesn't bother you in the least that women, some, no doubt already in treatment, have to now look for new doctors, many hours away from home?

"This came on the heels of the Texas legislature cutting funds for the state's women's health program by two-thirds in 2011, also supported by Perry.

News organizations reported that the cuts resulted in at least 60 clinics closing and an estimated quarter of a million women losing access to basic care, such a breast exams, cancer tests, contraceptives and treatment for sexually transmitted diseases."

But hey, Republicans in general know what's best for women right? From AZ to Michigan, they just keep wanting to control how women treat their bodies, or don't, as the case may be.

Hillary Clinton said it so well: "They just will not live in an evidence-based world."
Quoting Hillary saying something about evidence based is just hilarious especially after her lying constantly about Benghazi..... anyways, carry on

250,000 women on medicaid now have no healthcare ?
Clinics closing because they didn't get their 33% funding ?
Why not just cut back on doctors ?

Those not on medicaid are still free to go to PP.

Lots of biased articles out there in the nether.
And honestly I do not see the connection between what happened to James Byrd and preventative women's health.
It was not White Supremacy and revenge on Blacks driving the Texas change.
