Why stop at the 2nd? Why not repeal them all.

Typical knee-jerk, liberal reaction. Look how well the Eighteenth Amendment turned out.

Hey, guess what is the NUMBER FIVE cause of death in the US - and it kills MANY more children than adults? WHOOPING COUGH. Yes, it FAR outpaces any firearms related deaths, and is completely avoidable by a simple vaccine. Also, it's a terrible way to die - very painful, and not a short quick death either.

If you really want to save the lives of innocent children, this would be a much more worthy cause to spend your time spouting off about.

It's never about the children or saving life. :-(

I had whooping cough before, or pretussis. Very horrible to deal with.

was it an assault rifle? Do you think all guns should be eleminated? Would this have happened with strict gun control or what do you mean by strict gun contol? At this time you know nothing about the shooter, whether he has a criminal record, where he got the gun, whether he was known to have emotional problems or do you know something the rest of us do not?

their idea of strict gun control includes repealing the 2nd Amendment.

Lets talk about Elijah Cummings nephew who did not have a gun and was shot in his own home? How bout that? But no you want to focus on the negative. Guns are the Genie out of the bottle. I don't think your going to stop people from getting them. But as in Florida in the 80s when women went out in droves because of all the rapes and bought hand guns, the rapes suddenly went in the basement. LOL I guess guns do work to stop crime, but a crime stopped is not near as news worthy as twenty kids shot.

Sure they are.

He made a ridiculous assertion, then tried to avoid backing it up. When called out, he insisted that he wasn't deflecting, then continued to not explain his position for several more pages and many more posts.

You insist that you aren't deflecting, yet you take part of sentence and respond to that, instead of responding to the actual statement.

You guys are ridiculous. I wish you'd just stop.

When you're in a car driving and some guy starts shooting (remember, this was the thing that was being discussed before you came along and tried to discuss something else), having a gun strapped to you offers no advantage. It doesn't deter the guy from shooting at you, because he doesn't see your gun. It doesn't help you defend yourself, because it's not as though you can react quickly enough and multitask well enough to grab your gun and start shooting back while still trying to maintain control of the car. Stopping the car and shooting back doesn't actually help your chances of survival. Driving away (remember, you're in a car, driving) and putting distance between yourself and the threat is a much better option.
