The part where they don't want to be controlled and trapped.

I oppose most their desire to use government force to discriminate against gay people:

the tea party platform: Platform Item 10: Homosexual Marriage

I am against too many parts that Tea Party supports, particularly, freedom, liberty, independence, responsibility, adherence to and protection of the constitution, reduction of national debt and reduction of tax.

I truly wish that we pass a law to censor those dirty words.

I hate their "birther" stance, their efforts to legitimize rape, and their bigotry against Muslims and people of other religion.

The jorts and the gaudy "God Bless the USA" t-shirts made in China. It never fails to appall me.

I have never heard the TEA Party even discuss gay marriage. It is a grassroots movement, so how do you kow that website speaks for the majority?

Individually, many of them may not care for gay marriage, but I really doubt the true TEA Party is focused on it.

I'm sure it would be appalling to many posters here even of the shirts were made in the US....

Tea partiers would hold to the idea that more government automatically equals less freedom. I don't believe that's true in all cases. Case in point, it's directly due to Federal intervention that black people can't be excluded from many areas of American life (Brown vs. Board of Education and Eisenhower enforcing it with troops, Civil Rights and Voting Rights laws, etc.) So in their case, the federal government acting and using its power made them more free, not less.

There are other examples, but I'll leave it at that for now.

Agreed, the t-shirts look ridiculous, regardless where they are made.
