It would probably come to a shock to most Black posters on this board that I'm a Black nationalist at heart. At the end of the day folks respect money and power. A people don't get respect if they are begging other people for their survival. This is why at the end of the day I really can't get into the racial grievance game. If you don't like it build your own.
In my view cities like Detroit, countries like Haiti or Ghana should be self-sufficient. The fact that these places subsist either primarily or in part by aid from White people should be a source of great shame.

I'm surprised to near that about Ghana, I thought they had oil money?
They do and they're better than most sub-Saharan countries but they still rely on a healthy part of their budget on aid from the West. This to me is a sign of weakness and should be purged. No reason Ghana can't compete on the world stage and fund it's own development.
Now keep in mind the situation is much worse in the rest of Africa and I only spotlight Ghana because it's the country I'm the most familiar with in Africa.

I am talking about your claims of Africans seeing black Americans as scum.
I don't believe the story in the OP. I find it hard to believe that a group of American black people in the Bahamas, on a boat with one white couple and some black Bahamians would spend the entire boat trip bashing whites. What makes it even more unrealistic is the Obama connection. Once again, someone is attempting to prove that Obama supporters hate white people. That's what it all boils down to. As a black woman, I have been around plenty of black poeple and I have heard negative remarks about whites (and others), but never to the extent that people spend such long periods of times discussing them and it is unlikely that a group of people would do this while vacationing in the Bahamas.
I know that many blacks from the Carribean and Africa have issues with blacks in America, but I doubt it has anything to do with racism toward whites. It is more about what they see as victim mentality and blacks in America taking opportunity for granted. It isn't because they are the defenders of white people. Personally if this scenario were true and I was on the boat, I would feel uncomfortable as well but contrary to what the story in the OP is attempting to get across, it isn't a common thing for black people to spend that much time bashing white people. Of course on the internet, through second hand stories it is quite common.
