I'll bet it has an XBox logo and the words "High Score" on the front!

It replaces the DoD's current "Pinball Wizard" award. Gotta keep up with the times!

Maybe the train of thought is that if they honor them, they'll be less likely to commit suicide over the guilt of killing the innocent.

Higher ranking than the Bronze Star?

When will the machines decide they don't need humans anymore is the question??

You gotta be chitting me! They're going to issue a medal to some numbnuts in a bunker in Idaho that will equate to higher than the Bronze Star without this same numbnuts ever being in harm's way? Well why not; I guess it was just a matter of time.

I get a kick out of the Purple Heart as not many nations award a medal for dropping a wooden crate of supplies on their foot at an LZ (true).

You folks award chest-lettuce for showing up at the mess hall on time. Now this nonsense.

"On November 11 2016 Staff Sergeant Fleming went above and beyond the call of duty ignoring his coffee cup and without regard for personal need for going to the restroom for 4 hours of intense flying of his drone with precision use of his joystick and dedicated concentration of his monitor while his drone took fire from the enemy found the position of and took out 11 Al-Queda terrorists who were firing on U.S troops from a mountain top saving countless American lives"

General Putz~ "Staff Sergeant Fleming we salute you with this prestigious medal

Sergeant Fleming ~ "I am honored thank you but this medal is really for all the drones that didn't make it home"

Is War Inc. making an active effort to match our millions of young, male video game-obsessives with the rewarding and fulfilling career of drone executioner? I can see the advertisements now: "Have you ever considered turning your passion for Halo into a rewarding career? Have you considered remote control murder?"

Gosh, the parents and friends and clergy of these fine young men must be just tickled pink and filled with pride. I mean, the sacrifices drone killers make are just enormous. I have a feeling we will never know the extent of the sacrifices.

Distinguished Warfare Medal - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Fight smarter, not harder. To quote Patton: "I want you to remember that no bastard ever won a war by dying for his country. He won it by making the other poor, dumb bastard die for his country."
On the order of precedence, it ranks between the Distinguished Flying Cross and the Airman's Medal.

I bet most of the people moaning about this didn't have ASVAB scores high enough to join the USAF.

That seems to be the next step. All us folks telling the children to get outside and play and put the xbox down are actually hurting their chances of becoming real decorated war heroes in their future.

Panetta's a disgrace. One of the worst we've had.
Be great to see him commute back to California or where ever he hides out for the last time.
