They may be cliches but I see that every day. Maybe that's why it's an effin' cliche.
Sorry it doesn't make you comfortable to believe this happens.
Well, all but the Mercedes part. I haven't seen anyone in a Mercedes.

They are but they always have been. I have, literally, stood in line behind someone buying items like lobster and crab legs with food stamps. I don't know whether they're stupid and using up all their food stamps for the week on one meal or they get so much in food stamps they can just afford anything they want.

I used to work the pharmacy and liquer/lottery counters in a drug store. People would come to the pharmacy counter to cash their welfare checks and then I'd have to wait on them again at the liquer/lottery counter where they spent it all.

I can do Cadillacs (yes plural). The family used to live next door too had three daughters who all had babies out of wedlock and they all collected welfare and food stamps. You'd be suprised what you can do when you pool resources. The Caddies were in the parents names, of course.

There's lots of other fraud too. The woman we sold our old house too lived with the father of her two children who happened to be an engineer at the company I worked for at the time. She got so much financial aid to buy that house that her payment was only abotu $200/month. I know because I had to sign off saying that I wasn't helping her get into the house so she could get all the aid.

Geez you guys are dense..... where have I ever made excuses for the rich thieves running the country Like the banks, some CEO's politicians etc.?

The thread is about misuse of food stamps and welfare, and all you are doing is deflecting.... start a thread on the rich and theft and I guarantee I will be on there calling them out.

Oh, and I didn't start this thread....fixated....
He asked you a question. Why are you so fixated on public aid? He showed you a graph reflecting that it's a small piece of the pie compared to the others. So, what's it gonna be? Why are you so fixated on public aid? It's a question I'd really like to hear your answer to.

Now that's definitely a shoe-in with the "Lobster Food Plan" all the righties keep telling me about.

If you have their new address, please shoot me an e-mail with it. I'd like to see it with my own eyes. I've never met a Lobster Food Plan family before.

In Maine, you can get a lobster for 5$ during season.

Yes, it is fair, because when their food stamp budget is out, they'll only have dirt to eat.

Same old thread, same old story.

but the irony is that it's usually the right wingers that complain here and they are supposed to want SMALL government.

so don't you think that FOOD CONTROL would be better off in some kind of Stalinist type regime - like the thought police.

can't have it both ways
