Manson and Dorner were nothing alike.

Neither is a hero, but their causes were much different.

I'm not a Dorner supporter/opposer. But I do thank God that he was willing to expose the LAPD's corruption and bring police brutality/malpractice to the national stage.

His fight won't be in vein.

He did nothing of the sort. He showed the world that he was gutless coward, who had a gripe because he was caught lying.

3 witnesses said that what he witnessed didn't happen, a full court and an appeal found that his claims had no merit.

What fight? He killed 4 innocent people and injured 2 officers who had nothing to do with the LAPD. He stole 2 trucks, held hostage 3 people, and shot at officers. Then like a coward he took his own life.

I am all for Dorner. Reading his manifesto, I see he had legitimate grievances. Contrary to what we often read, public employees have very little recourse to firings done for political purposes or to protect senior staff from being exposed, embarrassed or prosecuted. The government works hard to protect the people who are at the top. So I sympathize with Dorner's predicament. But killing innocent people was wrong and because of that he does not deserve to be respected or supported with demonstrations.

I agree with you. I don't doubt that corruption runs deep in the LAPD. But Dorner killed innocent people and, therefore, he is a murderer.

He should have hired himself a good attorney and set himself up as a whistle blower if that's what he wanted. I believe he had other issues.

There was nothing legitimate about that murdering POS. Having worked my whole career for City Government, I can tell you that one has to be a world class F-up to get fired. It's not easy to get fired from the PD...
He proved to be a loser at ever stop along his life, high school, college, the military, and the police department. He didn't get along with any of his fellow officers, he made no friends.
The reason he went physio is because he reached the end, he was unemployed for four years after his last firing, living in his mother's spare room. He wanted to blame other for his failures. His manifesto was pure BS, a figment of his imagination... May he rot in Hell...

His supporters still have not given a reason why he killed that Riverside cop at a stoplight. Pure cowardice and evil.

Whether there is corruption or not in the LAPD, or whether Dorner may have been unfairly treated... have any of the imbeciles glorifying this a-hole ever stopped to consider that those who found Dorner unfit to serve just maybe could have been on to something?
