If you keep repeating something long enough, you begin to believe it. If it's repeated over the tv and radio, it's like a subliminal message going to your head. Back in the 1950's scientists practiced and experimented with mind control. They even did lobotomies to try to induce mind and thought control.

Lefties don't hate the constitution or America, they just dislike ignorant righties.

Who exactly are "you people?" And it's not a BS argument nor irrelevant, when the OP is talking about our founding principles... do you deny it is true, or do you just prefer to pretend it isn't? Recognizing & admitting the flaws in our nation doesn't equal hating it, and blind patriotism doesn't equal love either.

I guess it is a fair assumption that the OP and ilk are firm supporters of the ACLU? After all, that organization devotes its time and energy to defending the Bill of Rights.

Default No, it's not.

He makes a good argument. Leftists claim to be patriots, yet what we get from the left is this:
  • The Constitution is a "living breathing document"

Translation: It can mean whatever we want it to mean to fit into our "modern" ideas of morality, equality (i.e., 'fairness'), justice. How we interpret it at any one time is what it means.

This is no Constitution at all.
  • The Founders were atheists or deists, not Christians

This is denial of historical fact elevated to a high level. The founders were profoundly Christian, and recognized that our "inalienable rights" are God given ("endowed by our Creator"). Further, most all of the early settlers were Christians, and sought to live their lives in a manner that glorified God. They believed that God himself had brought them to the "New World." The first Thanksgiving was to thank God for the bountiful harvest and for his faithfulness. It was not (as children are being taught in school today) to 'give thanks to the Indians!'
  • Equal opportunity is denied, and instead liberals claim our system unequally favors 'the rich'

Translation: Capitalism is evil, and must be replaced with socialism. Our system favors the 'rich.'

We hear this common theme from the left, that "wealth is unequally concentrated at the top." Well, how does anybody become wealthy? Most of the wealthiest individuals became wealthy by hard work.

Neither are the wealthy "greedy," as is claimed. The wealthiest among us have always given much of their money to charities, and have used it for good. Carnegie built libraries, and gave much of his money away. He was thankful for the opportunities that he had in this land of opportunity.
So, liberals claim to be "patriotic" yet they abhor every aspect of our history, and even deny much of it.

Not only do they deny much of our history, they rewrite it to show our founders as bigoted, racist, white slave owners, and oppressors of women. They trash many of our success stories (such as Andrew Carnegie, mentioned above) as evil lovers of money, who exploited 'the poor' in order to enrich themselves.

Leftists deny that America has been the country that has lifted more people out of poverty than any country in the history of the world. No country in history has provided more individual opportunity than the United States of America. This is true because of our capitalist system, and because of our system of government, which is being dismantled by the left. Obama is doing more damage to our system of government than any President in history through unprecedented power grabs, willful disregard for law, and flagrant violations of the Constitution.

And just WHAT is your idea of being patriotic?

Wearing a little trinket on your lapel while championing the founding principles that suit your agenda while pissing on those that don't?

So, righties believe it's dead or are you still in your struggle to kill it?
