So Glenn Beck is comparing this cruise to a situation in which society breaks down yet criticizes the reporter for comparing the break down of communication to that which happened during Katrina.
Glenn Beck is an idiot and you're comparing CNN to Beck. You finally get it.

Liberal media at its worst, as usual. Keep in mind, this was no accident. He wasnt the only one who did something like this regarding the cruise ship mess. Others in the liberal media also brought up taxes, the rich companies, etc when talking about it. The liberal media will politicize ANYTHING and EVERYTHING if they can some how spin it towards their views.

Im glad the passenger was bright enough to refute such a stupid statement by that reporter in this case.
What I dont understand is why they were not rescued off the ship by other boats why they were made to stay in those conditions.

That and why weren't they towed in sooner?

Exactly but if for whatever reason that they were not towed like it turned out to be, those people should have been taken off that ship even if it took 2 days to do it.
Those cruise lines have the resources and money to have done that. Going in showers, sinks, bags hours in food lines is so completely unacceptable and they really dont think this is going to put a ding in reservations?
I dont think that people even thought it was as bad as it turned out to be. Not even the food part of it all the unsanitary sewage conditions should have been enough to remove them.
