After reading some contested legislation, I have arrived at this conclusion.

It is ridiculous to think that the government can cause such undue hardship to the people of America without consequence.

That has to go to the Supreme Court and by that time, what ever the decision is,
folks don't care anymore. Obama's insurance mandate for example:

Redefinition by the SC without consequence by those who defined it another way
to pass it in the first place.

For me, I'd like to see everyone in Congress fired for engaging the American tax payer/
citizens in two conflicts they call wars, without ever constitutionally declaring them,
but then that's just me.

With an approval rating of 14 percent, you would at least think we could get
term limits, and a Freeze or Reversal of their salaries/pensions.

Thanks for bringing up a topic that makes me sicker than my flu.

yeah, like 3-5 years in a state prison for each bill passed that is unconstitutional.

It's okay to be sick over this topic. Many congressmen don't even read the laws they pass. I understand it if there are some issues which the government ignores or if the government didn't turn out to be the experts they claim to be, that's what elections are for.

...but if you pass unconstitutional laws, you ought to be charged for breaking constitutional laws...

Not to mention fines for AT LEAST the cost it took to fight their unconstitutional law.

Spend more money on them. No way.

Let them go back to the private sector and make them live by
every screwed up legislation they passed that hurt
small business.

Have them do a mandatory 4 years in the military on the
front lines of one of the countries they stick OUR nose and
money into.

The problem with politicians is that they can retire with the money they made in politics.
And I don't trust them on the front lines, they could get people hurt.

I didnt say spend more money on them, make them pay for their own time in prison, plus they lose all pay and benefits too.

The problem is, no one cares to incriminate themselves...

Especially if they are a politician.

IMO, the congressional and legislative branched have too much power.

We need to revisit this checks and balances thing.

a better way to do all legislation is to make it like this. all politicians in congress and the potus get paid 1 million each year. for each word of any type on legislation bill, $1000 is deducted from their pay. if they run out of money, they pay $1000 into the fedgov.

also, no retirement or anything else, they get social security.
