Read some of the writings of the founders and you will know exactly what the 2nd amendment is all about.

First of all I don't believe that anyone is advocating taking all of the guns out of the neighborhoods, because if that happened it still would not change the violence that goes on there. To be truthful if you pushed for more legal guns in the neighborhood that would not help the matters either, it just would mean that there would be more shootings. Criminals will still shoot people but now you have law abiding people shooting at criminals as well not to mention retialation shootings as well. If you want to stop or at least limit the crime (shootings) in poor neighborhoods give them jobs and not guns!
