I've heard your complaints for the last four years about the decline of America, so what nations should we look up to for guidance?

There is only one country, nation, state or protectorate we should look to for guidance or to emulate, and that is the USA as defined by the Founding Fathers in the Decl of Ind. and Counstitution/BOR. Everyone else is a far-distant also-ran, IMHO

I'd like to see us try to emulate the United States of America.

The truth is, conservatives in America don't have a lot of friends in the world. They hate Europe because its "socialist". They hate Canada and Australia for the same reason. They hate muslims and Arabs so the rich countries of the Middle East like UAE, Qatar etc are out of the question. They hate the Chinese. And we all know about Republicans and Russia. About all that is left for them are 3rd world countries like Somalia, Pakistan, etc where the government really does get out of the way, spends way too much on the military, and you are left on your own for every basic need, bigotry runs high, gays are hated and prosecuted, the rich get to clamp down on the poor and middle class, etc...a true Republican Nirvana.

So yea the conservative ideal is some place like Somalia, or Pakistan.

Our forefathers; I can't think of a country that has done better overall. I see liberals speaking for otehrs agin. i would say perhaps no presidents have made more neemies for US than Kennedy or Johson ;bot liberal democrats. I think any one thinkig they ahe to be love by toer seldo are respected. Certainyl Reagn is very popular in Germany and real popualr in Poland. i mean I would really worry anbout socialist same as I never worried about Russian before their collapse.Certainly the most ahted is US popcuture which is hated by most of the eastern world plus many others.

How about looking at pre-1965 America, ie; America when it was strong and confident?

Let's go back to when Democrat politicians like JFK were actually anti-communists who didn't believe in the 19th century ideology of taxing your way to equality.

Just removing a tiny percentage of the post-60's Pussification would go a long way.

Iran, Pakistan, or Saudi Arabia. Gays and women know their place, and there is no separation of church and state.

I am independent, but I think you can't pull a country and say this or that. Its part of this and part of that. What I mean is I personally say lets be like England on health care. Lets be like Switzerland on guns. We need to be like Americans on tradition.

The real United States of America, and not the gangland bunch of racists occupying seats of power in today's loud-mouthed, brainless environment. When you see the exceptional kind of stupid you see with people like Harry Reid, Joe Biden, and Nancy Pelosi, it appears hopeless.

If there were ever a case for term limits, today's democrats would make that case.

There is no greater country than the one we used to be.
