We simply cannot afford more overseas military spending. Like it or not, it's got to end.
I don't disagree with that. But, it needs to end by defeating the enemy, and our feckless leadership in the WH does not have the stones to make that happen.
Republican Madness won't stop, they can't see their concepts and mentality is not and has'nt been good for America for decades.
At no time would Bush listen, even the Chinese President gave him the book "The Art of War", and many commented about the passage, which sums to say, no country who has ever fought a protracted war on foreign soil has ever come out well.
Bush failed to heed the info, Saddam told Bush, "you can't import Democracy< he reminded Bush of the reforms he made and told him that future reforms would come but they must come slowly, because as he told Bush, "you don't understand the groups and factions here
in Iraq", again, Bush ignored him.
If you look at the situation today, No leader can take control in the region unless they come with the same type of "strong arm and stand" as that which Saddam presented and stood for. The difference now is, It took Saddam many years to work his way to the top, he knew what factions he was dealing with and what level of brute force it would take to contain them, and in doing so, only then could he advance them through reforms. Bush/Cheney and the WHOLE Republican masses ignored it all. CURRENTLY, Who and how can you work anyone to the top to fill the role that Saddam played in keeping containment in Iraq and keeping the other surrounding Arab nations from going bizerk. People forget Saddam came up "Through the Arab System" he did not come from outside of it.
It's so sad, and unfortunate for the world, that all the Bush Era Republican system could see to do was 'bully talk", stomp around like cowboys, and think they'd get to take Iraq as they did in taking America from the American Indians. That's the insanity they went there with, and the LUST for oil, it led to the imbecilic announcement by Bush on the War Ship, claiming victory. Unaware that he had set in motion the DESTABILIZATION of the entire Middle East, and had been "hoodwinked by the Saudi's to do their bidding, while they used the excess oil profits to fund and feed the continuing war fighting and terrorist support through out the region.
He (Cheney) was simplistic enough to think the Arab in OPEC would sit idle and allow a Western Power to come and control the Crude Oil in Iraq. All we resulted to do was go from paying under $20 a barrel for oil, up to the high of $147 a barrel. Giving the Arabs so much excess money to keep the war raging for more than a decade. They made so much money, they can kick back for another decade on the profit gouging they did.
Bush & Cheney supported by the Republican System played into the EXACT same result the Terrorist pursued. The terrorist said: THEY WOULD BRING AMERICA TO ITS ECONOMIC KNEES". They did exactly that by 2007.
Thank goodness Obama became President, or there would be no American Economic Function, everything failed under Bush, and then he tried to Outsource the management of our Ports to Dubia, Haliburton wanted to move its headquarters to Dubia, because Dubia had no extradition policy with America, when Haliburton got caught ripping off the Government, and in the middle of that mess. Bush and Cheney was trying to privatize Social Security to turn that money over to the Wall Street Criminals they had partnered up with. "Selective Amnesia" won't allow republics to address or face those truths.
But, faced or not, History has recorded it all.
The pretentious dignity game in Washington won't allow the discussion of the Pallets of $100 bills by the plane loads that Bush and his Cheney Gang flew to Iraq, and this is money never to be seen again by the general American Public. But, foreign accounts in every country that is a have for Offshore accounts became flush with cash, and suddenly, everywhere you look, there were New Billionaires being claimed all across the fragments of whats left of American Industrial Elites.
We created a global system of connected "weapon sellers and supported their network for a full decade or more" and now the weapon selling maching is feeding any resource the terrorist can think to want.
Right Wingers who initiated this mess, profited from it and still profit from it, they know exactly who is providing weapons to the terrorist in each country that Muslim Extremist Terrorist exist. One cannot even remotely assume that the top Oil Executives and many of the top war participants in the republican system do not know how ISIS got its funding, weapons and other Items. Certainly, the Oil Executives know exactly every barrel of oil that moves on the planet, so they know who is buying Oil from ISIS, they know the people who are operating any and every oil field being manipulated by ISIS.
Thankfully, President Obama was and is smart enough not to go into Ukraine, Egypt, Syria or any of the other places that Republican were lusting for him to go. President Obama and his advisors know what the set up is, and they know what a trap looks like, and they know what extent the Republcans will go without the remote thought of limits in their efforts to try and discredit him. They'd go to any extreme and any expense to do so. If we want to get to the heart of matters, continue exposing the Republican angles of this madness and it may just shake American to its core, to learn real truths about what is Republican Agenda and Process. This is a system that set an all out assault upon and against America and its people, in an aim to try and defeat, discredit and humiliate the President. They went so far as to disrespect him during the State of the Union Address, the government shut down, that caused a grand mess, resulted to have our rating changed and cost us more interest on National debt, this is the same system that set the table for the sequester, all to try and lay blame on the president for a weakened military. This is the same group that ignored the medical concern of young american it sent off to war and to this date, run them through hell to get compensated and treated.
For those who won't put on the blinders republican continue promoting, can and do see the reality of truths.
Yes, they'd whine and so would all those who profit from the ongoing of the war, its massive Trillions being made by many as long as the War Rages on. Before some would allow the $$$$$$$loss of that war system money, they may even stage an attack on America themselves, to ensure war continues to rage on. War is like a duck that spits out gold coins in the hands of a few.

All of that is true but oil was back down to around $34 when Obama became president and quickly climbed back over $100 much for the same reasons it got so high under Bush.
There were very little differences in Bush and Obama.
Of course, whining and complaining is all the right wingers do.
The Left owns the BLM movement and all of these deranged cry babies across the college campuses of this nation demanding all sorts of ridiculous garbage.
He repeated the same mistakes in Libya and Syria so yeah, I hold out little hope for the next president.
He did repeat SOME of the same mistakes- and I'm not happy about that.
But he did NOT send hundreds of thousands of Americans over to fight/die in an ill-conceived war of choice. He did NOT waste 4000 American lives and TRILLIONS of dollars like Bush did (and both McCain and Romney promised more of).

I'm curious to know how the "terrorists" brought America to its economic knees. I'm pretty tuned in to this economic issue and I never saw the "terrorists" as a cause for the downturn. Perhaps you can teach me something.
